THE RACE CAR SHOP

Last weekend, the TRIM team and I hung out with my dad and Sprint Car’s Rookie of the Year, Jonathon Cornell. We worked on new shirts and denim designs, drank Budweiser and had a few burgers. This place is full of old timers telling great stories, burnt coffee, Camel no-filter cigarettes, hand lettered signs and fast cars.

Colt 45, Cops, Car Wash & Katrina

Sunday was spent on a photo shoot at a truck depot along the Mississippi and in an abandoned car wash littered with heroin needles, garbage, feces, broken glass, two hot cars and Katrina. She is a brand new model hired to launch the TRIM women’s line.  She definitely Keeps Fast Company.
Onlookers gathered throughout the day including 2 meth head white boys on bikes, a fleet of St. Louis’ finest and some toothless vagrants. We enjoyed plenty of Budweiser and Colt 45, however, Charlie and I both agree that The 45 does not fuck around and truly “works every time.” The shit should be consumed with a certain amount of caution and respect.

Road Trip To A Road House

Charlie, Jeff and I took a drive in the Impala over to Alton, Illinois. Alton is a small river town that features amazing roads that run along the Missouri River and bluffs. Hot rods and motorcycles cruise the river road before stopping to have lunch at Fast Eddies. Which is exactly what we did.

Fast Eddies is a roadhouse and a mid-west institution. The food at Fast Eddies is cooked to order on a giant indoor grill and features favorites like Big Elwood, skewered beef tenderloin and peppers, homemade bratwurst, Cajun chicken and amazing peel ‘n’ eat shrimp. The food is done to perfection and the beer is ice cold. Alton and Fast Eddies are certainly worth a road trip. Check out the clip from Alton Brown’s “Feasting on Asphalt” series on the Food Network.
