Millions in Motorcycles and Tiffany Lamps

Just got back from San Francisco. While there I cam across a pub called Eddie Rickenbacker’s in the SOMA district, near the umbra of the Bay bridge. The food is good, there’s a decent beer selection and they carry Cazadores Tequila (the best). However, the real attraction is the bikes including a Moto Guzzi, Excelsior, Henderson, Ariel and New Imperial. There’s also a 1941 Indian, 1918 Reading, 1938 Nimbus, lamps, trains, a cat and the proprietor Henry Africa. This place is definitely worth a visit.

The photos in the blog post were pulled from various sources-my camera battery went dead that day.

Cars In NYC

Just got back from a week in NYC. It’s not exactly a car/hot rod market but here’s a few shots taken with my iPhone while walking the streets.

Anything Oil & Gas

On a recent drive to Gulf Shores I came across an amazing place on the Opp Hwy. Jackson’s Country Store has a vast collection of vintage signs, gas pumps, oil cans, advertising and memorabilia. I bought a Polly Gas Tacker which I hung on my garage as soon as I got home. Unfortunately Jackson’s doesn’t have a web site but here’s a few photos.

Good Luck Richard Rawlings-Gumball 3000

Four-time rally champ Richard Rawlings will be hauling ass from coast-to-coast in the Gumball 3000. He’ll be driving a 1975 Chevrolet Caprice 2008 Cadillac Escalade 6.0ltr Motor and trans. And he’ll be Keeping Fast Company with Trim. We’ve sponsored his car and dressed him up – real proper. Stay out of jail Richard.

TRIM Heads To Lonestar Round Up – Austin

A Texas-Sized Weekend of Loud Pipes, Lead Sleds, Live Music and more…
“What started out as a small gathering on an old football field of like-minded gearheads, artists and musicians who love traditionally-styled Hot Rods and Kustoms, has grown into annual Austin Tradition.

TRIM will have a booth at the show and our good friend Marty Stillwell will be running it.

Here’s a few photos I shot at last years event.

Road Trip To A Road House

Charlie, Jeff and I took a drive in the Impala over to Alton, Illinois. Alton is a small river town that features amazing roads that run along the Missouri River and bluffs. Hot rods and motorcycles cruise the river road before stopping to have lunch at Fast Eddies. Which is exactly what we did.

Fast Eddies is a roadhouse and a mid-west institution. The food at Fast Eddies is cooked to order on a giant indoor grill and features favorites like Big Elwood, skewered beef tenderloin and peppers, homemade bratwurst, Cajun chicken and amazing peel ‘n’ eat shrimp. The food is done to perfection and the beer is ice cold. Alton and Fast Eddies are certainly worth a road trip. Check out the clip from Alton Brown’s “Feasting on Asphalt” series on the Food Network.
